9 Month Check Up

Evan had his 9 month doctor's appointment this week!

Our Little Man is still growing, but not quite as rapidly as before!

Must be burning some calories with all of that crawling around.

Here are his stats...

Height is 30.75"
Weight is 26 lbs 3 oz
Head is 19" round

These are all over the 100 percentile still, but they are all proporionately so.
Ha Ha!

Thanksgiving 2008

Turkey Day was another 1st for Evan!

Fun filled days of food and family are a lot for a little one to take in.

He doesn't want much to do with naps when there is so many people and so much excitement that might be missed during an afternoon snooze.

It was a great Thanksgiving and here we are in December already!

Happy Holidays to all!

Monday November 10, 2008

Ok, so I created this blog about a month ago and haven't been back since, but I've had 77 viewers somehow and I think I should probably update. :)

This was an eventful weekend! Craig went deer hunting so Evan and I were on our own for a couple days.

Friday night I had a nice dinner with Chrissy, Kristine and Jenny. At dinner we learned that our good friends the Williamson's had their baby girl, Gwen!

Saturday Evan, Nichole and I went to Waconia to visit with the family, then to visit our new friend Gwen at the hospital. From there we rented some chick flicks (Craig would never have watched these movies with me) and we went home for the evening...

The start of the longest evening of Evan's little life so far!

Two hours after putting my little honey to bed, he woke up moaning. I went and picked him up out of his crib and he was burning up and he got sick. (This is the first real sick he has ever been) I called the nurses line and my mom, waited a couple of hours for tylenol and cuddling to kick in, but nothing worked, my little man just kept feeling awful. Finally at 12:30 am the nurses said I should bring Evan into the emergency room where we spent the next 3 hours. His fever on medicine wouldn't fall below 103 so needless to say he was sad and I was a mess at seeing him like this. Turns out that he has a horrible ear infection that was making him nauseous and sleepless. They put him on some heavier antibiotics and some stuff for his tummy too.
On top of all this, he is trying to pop through 4 teeth!

Anyway...the light at the end...Craig is home from hunting (and will try again this coming weekend for a deer), Evan started to act like his good ole' self last night with some smiles and belly crawls and we all got 4 hours of uninterupted sleep...here's hoping for 5 tonight!

I've hopped on the bandwagon!

Many of my friends have created blogs, and I enjoy reading them and keeping up on their lives.

I'm hoping that I too can keep up with this and share my family with you.

A fair warning...you will see so much about Evan. I love to show him to the world and everyday he finds a new way to show me the miracle of his life.
